We’ve been waiting for this one ever since it was announced at the end of Wanda Vision there would be a spin-off. I love Kathryn Hahn and thought she stole the show in Wanda Vision, along with Mrs. Hart played by the hilarious Debra Jo Rupp. Who, I was glad to see, pops up again in Agatha.

The first episode was suitably confusing given what happened at the end of Wanda Vision, but we’ve come to expect the unexpected and the down right weird. It wasn’t till we got to the body I started to have an inkling of what was going on. And, deliciously, it just got better from here on in. Till, by the end, after a great montage flipping through the various era (ages) of Agatha which had me and mine laughing, Agatha, spell broken by Teen, is now in full control of herself.

Which leads us to the funniest part of episode one with her confronting her neighbour, stark naked, demanding to know what’s going on.

The humour is beautifully played by Kathryn Hahn to perfection. Who is both camp, tragic, and menacing all at the same time. Wildly over dramatic but nuanced nonetheless, episode one dovetails perfectly into the second. And we’re off hunting the yellow brick road, Teen in tow, who’s now the designated driver and, we learn, her familiar and pet.

We will, no doubt, at some point, get to know his name, and who exactly has sealed his lips. Ah, no, I can’t say more. You’ll just have to watch for yourself.

Excellent cast assembled, each with their own unique talents both as the characters they play and, as the actresses they are. I cannot wait to see this week’s episode and what mayhem the fie witches (plus Teen) will get up to down, down, down, along the Witches Road …

Oh, and by the way, the summoning song The Ballad of the Witches' Road? Gave me goosebumps!
