This afternoon’s BBQ at my sister in law’s is cancelled due the torrential downpour going on right now. And while it might clear up later on this afternoon, no one is feeling it. My brother in law was going to be filling their swimming pool on the hopes of us all starting the summer season today, which is a long weekend here. And yes, while the rain might be helping in that department, no one will be there to go splish splashing.
At least, not today. Maybe tomorrow, we’ve all rescheduled to try again. I hope so, as I have a fridge full of charcuterie and cheese, not to mention cake!
