📺 So this last weekend we watched and or started a number of spy-related shows on Netflix, and each was very different from the other.

We kicked off the weekend with The Night Agent, a US-based show following an FBI agent working out of the White House who gets caught up in a conspiracy to … oh, wait, better not tell you that, you know, spoilers! But let’s just say there was a lot of violence, chase scenes (in cars and on foot) and a very odd sub plot involving two murderers that was, well, disturbing. Up shot, I’m inclined to give this series just 3 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

We quickly followed up The Night Agent with a British spy thriller, Treason, that was not only a cut above, but way more entertaining. In this series we have the hero taking over after an attempted poisoning of his boss, the head of MI6, is laid up and, in the space of a week, is thrown in the deep end of lies, deceit, and political corruption on a scale that the Brits do very well! This one was outstandingly good. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not to be outdone, we’re back on American soil with The Recruit, a much better and more drolly witty, if not darkly humorous spy thriller that has our erstwhile hero, a CIA lawyer, totally out of his depth, but nonetheless, holding his own. We’re only a few episodes in and throughly enjoying this one, and enjoying the snark. A big thumbs up. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And you, what have you been watching recently?
