Agatha All Along : Through Many Miles of Tricks and Trials Season 1, episode 3 Watched Sept 26, 2024
Finally, we’re on the road, in this week’s episode we’re also finally getting down to brass tacks. Having thrown these disparate women together, aided and abetted by Teen, the ladies face their first trial together and boy, do they fuck up big time. Which, I am assuming, is going to be the norm.
Walking a ways down what is decidedly not the Yellowbrick road but a rather dubious barely visible path winding its merry way through the big, bad, forest till, having rescued Mrs. Hart from what could have been almost certain death—the verge Mrs. Hart is sitting on having decided to eat both her purse and Mrs. Hart as a free snack. Maybe this was a foretelling?
Moving on down the road the Witches come upon a beach house. No kidding. And knowing this is possibly their first quest, venture in and … Find there are no handles on the doors to get out.
Between the snark and moments of clarity, working together as an abrasive team, and with a timer counting down 30 minutes, the Witches find themselves at odd in trying to figure out how to escape their locked prison and, almost certain death.
Of course, we know they’re going to escape … but there’s a price, and this too looks like it will be the norm, as one of the Coven comes to a rather quiet and sad end. Will this make the remaining witches work harder, work together, or fall apart? And what of Lip-Locked Teen? Who is he and what’s his part in all this? I could speculate, but no spoilers here, well, no obvious ones at least.
The one thing that we can expect to be the constant, is the dark humour, wit, snark, and great performances by all. Throw out any expectations, grab a large bag of popcorn, and just enjoy the silliness to the max, and follow along from the comfort of your couch.
